The National Travel journey began in 1982, when founder Jenepher Baugh became an agent for Global Travel Service, representing their Western Jamaica operations.
After completing an intensive two-week training program in Kingston, she launched the business from a small space inside Hammond’s Pastry Place.
As demand grew, the business relocated to a small office at 46 Great George Street, Savanna-la-Mar, where Jenepher and staff member Larna Bailey frequently traveled to Global Travel’s IATA-approved branch in Montego Bay to acquire ticket stock.
The company continued to operate under the Global Travel name until 1982.
A major milestone came in 1982, when Jenepher acquired her own travel agency from Mr. David Marzouca in Montego Bay.
Managing multiple locations and expanding services introduced new challenges — but also new opportunities for growth.
Today, National Travel stands as a trusted, experienced, and customer-focused agency dedicated to serving generations of travelers.
